Victor Rotolo

Victor is an Associate Director at Risk Advisory based in New York. He brings over ten years of risk management experience working in investigations, intelligence, financial crimes, and compliance.

Victor provides research and investigative support to clients involved in pre-transactional diligence, as well as litigation and corporate disputes, government investigations and regulatory enforcement actions. His expertise includes asset tracing, fraud investigations, reputational research, strategic intelligence and third-party monitoring.

Prior to joining Risk Advisory, Victor spent four years with two global risk and investigations firms, where he serviced clients across industries to include agrochemicals, biotechnology, construction, energy, real estate, financial services, and technology. 

Victor is also a former intelligence officer and served in a number of positions in the US intelligence community, both in the US and abroad. 

Project Highlights

• Provided guidance to a multinational technology company on potential violations of US and global sanctions, with a specific emphasis on parties listed on the OFAC Specially Designated Nationals (SDNs) and OFAC Sectoral Sanctions lists.
• Conducted investigation for a Brazil-based client into fraudulent investment schemes, and performed asset tracing to support parties engaged in litigation in Latin America and the US. 
• In connection to a regulatory enforcement action involving allegations of bribery, implement a multi-year independent monitor of a statewide contractor, including annual review of corporate compliance function and policies, as well as site visits and interviews with employees and vendors. 
• Reviewed the corporate structure and privacy policies of third-party application developers for a global social media platform to assess reputational and data protection risks. 
• Provide opposition research in support of hostile takeover defenses on behalf of the board of directors of a publicly-traded biotechnology company, with findings published in global news sources to support strategic defense of target companies.
