Our work in the Disputes and Investigations practice often involves:
- Evidence and intelligence gathering - we provide evidence and intelligence to support and inform the legal strategy and strengthen our client’s position in a dispute. This ranges from obtaining documentary evidence for use in legal proceedings; to generating insights into a counterparty’s key relationships, decision-making hierarchies, motivations and objectives.
- Asset tracing and recovery - we help to identify and secure admissible evidence related to the asset position and corporate footprint of counterparties for clients seeking to assess the financial viability of a claim, or to develop an enforcement strategy.
- Investigations - at the early-stages we conduct fact-finding to assist in the triaging of an issue or whistleblower allegations and managing independent investigations into instances of reported bribery, corruption, conflicts of interest, fraud, sanctions breaches and other issues presenting legal or reputational risks, including ESG-related matters.
- Witness identification and interviews - locating, evaluating and interviewing individuals who are potential factual witnesses in the context of legal proceedings, or as part of an internal investigation.
