Turnout at demonstrations by far-right groups has increased sharply over the past year. New extremist groups have formed, seemingly with much greater financial backing. And there are signs that white supremacist groups elsewhere in Europe are now trying to gain a foothold in the UK.
In this briefing, a member of the Metropolitan Police’s protest liaison team will discuss recent trends in far-right protests, implications for the risk of violent unrest, and how the police engage with these groups. Our lead analyst for European political and security affairs, Jesper Cullen, will chair the session.
There will then be an opportunity for questions.
We hope you can join us to discuss these issues. Preference will be given to Risk Advisory clients.
