Selebia has managed several complex due diligence and commercial intelligence investigations across Sub-Saharan Africa. She specialises in advising on pre-transactional assessments in the energy, commodities and financial services sectors in West and East Africa. 

Selebia has supported clients in understanding the challenges and opportunities of entering new markets such as Nigeria, Kenya and Senegal. Most recently, she assisted a client in navigating key stakeholders in the Nigerian oil and gas regulatory system and its local content laws. 

A Nigerian national, Selebia has lived and schooled in both Nigeria and Kenya for several years.

Project highlights

  • Conducted stakeholder mapping as well as bid and local partner intelligence gathering as part of a public fuel tender for South African airports on behalf of a global fuel distribution company. 
  • Advised an international financial institution through a market-entry process in Kenya, providing an outlook on the country’s political and economic landscape. Also identified common local corruption typologies and key vulnerabilities to financial crime. 
  • Assisted a client in a pre-transactional diligence on an independent power producer with renewable energy projects in multiple jurisdictions across Africa.
