Dane Chamorro has over 30 years of experience in the Pacific region with a special focus on China and Southeast Asia. A former US diplomat, Dane was most recently head of political and business intelligence for the Americas at a global risk consulting firm, based in Washington DC, and before that Managing Partner for the Southeast Asia business based in Singapore, managing offices in Jakarta and Yangon. Prior to this he acted as Managing Director of the company’s North Asia business (Greater China, Korea and Mongolia) based in Shanghai and opened the firm’s offices in Beijing and Hong Kong.
Specialising in political/regulatory risk and business intelligence, Dane regularly advises strategic and portfolio investors on political and partner risks, corporate governance and high-profile business concerns. This has included investor disputes in China, Vietnam, and Indonesia; FCPA investigations in China, Vietnam and Mongolia and reputational crises in Indonesia, China, Myanmar and Philippines. He is a licensed investigator in Singapore.
