Neil Austin

Non-Executive Director

Neil joined the Board of The Risk Advisory Group as a Non-Executive Director in 2016, and served as chair from 2019 to 2025. Formerly a partner at KPMG, Neil has many years’ experience advising on M&A, IPOs, takeovers, and fundraising across global markets, working with businesses ranging from family-owned firms to multinational corporations.

Beyond his client work, Neil chaired CISCO (now the Quoted Company Alliance) and was actively involved with the London Stock Exchange and the Financial Services Authority. He played a key role in establishing the Alternative Investment Market.

In his final years at KPMG, Neil chaired the global Consumer practice and served on the Global Executive Board with responsibility for major international operations. Since retiring in 2010, he has advised a range of private businesses on strategy and finance and held several board positions.

Neil is also Trustee and Treasurer of Brooklands Museum.
