RiskAdvisory Moving Toward A Global Horizon
By Holly Whalen

Greetings.

As the newly appointed director of software at RiskAdvisory, following the recent acquisition of our firm by global business intelligence leader SAS, I look forward to continuing the successful partnerships that have been forged over the years between RiskAdvisory and you, our client. I give you our commitment to enhancing our business relationship by supporting your ongoing risk management efforts through our industry leading technology offerings.

My mandate will be to ensure superior client service and satisfaction, while driving the global roll out of RiskAdvisory's software products. This strategy will include the incorporation of RiskAdvisory into SAS' global sales, partner and support organizations across Canada, the United States, Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. Globally, SAS has more than 10,000 employees, serving approximately 45,000 clients worldwide.

To solidify a new global scope for RiskAdvisory, we will leverage SAS' client reach and support infrastructure to integrate RiskAdvisory's software and consulting offerings with SAS' Energy Risk Management portfolio of solutions. For all of our customers, this will mean you now have access to a truly end-to-end solution for risk management, combining transactional and analytical capabilities, which is supported by some of the top domain experts around the world.

To ensure focus and support for our RiskAdvisory clients, we will continue to:

  • Support and enhance BookRunner® through our research and development team based in Calgary, Alberta;
  • Focus our sales strategy on the global Energy market;
  • Leverage the RiskAdvisory brand by operating the company as an independent subsidiary of SAS; and,
  • Invest in our energy thought leadership and leverage our management consulting expertise as a competitive differentiator.

SAS has a very strong presence in financial services, with 32% of revenue coming from this sector. With the expansion of investment banking trading into commodity energy trading, we will soon extend RiskAdvisory into the financial services market.

I can assure you that RiskAdvisory and SAS will continue to expand and provide you with the consistent level of support and service that you have come to know from RiskAdvisory. Over the past 27 years, SAS has become the largest privately-held software firm through the same commitment to superior software and service and dedication to its clients and employees. These values will continue to be fostered as we journey on together and embrace the global frontier before us.
