Message From Carl Farrell:
In November 2003, RiskAdvisory joined the SAS family after 8 very successful years of building their thought leadership in Energy Risk marketplace, having served over 200 customers primarily across North America. RiskAdvisory is renowned for two things; their management consulting expertise in the Energy Risk marketplace, and their trade capture software product, BookRunner®. SAS will continue to preserve these strengths moving forward.
Jim Joyce, principle founder of RiskAdvisory, will continue to head up the management consulting organization. Jim has a clear objective of growing the practice across North America as existing SAS customers join the RiskAdvisory customer portfolio. Jim will also direct the next generation of BookRunner® as it evolves into a standard SAS software application sold and supported globally.
Holly Whalen has joined the RiskAdvisory team as a Director, with a focus on taking BookRunner® to a global market. Holly brings over 15 years of sales and marketing experience, having held positions at Oracle, Siebel Systems and JD Edwards. More recently, Holly was the Western Canadian Area Director for SAS Canada. She is currently working with existing SAS sales teams to direct go-to-market strategies in specific countries and regions. Holly and her team will train and support SAS sales teams in their efforts to take BookRunner® into their local market.
RiskAdvisory brings deep domain expertise to SAS' Energy Risk practices, allowing them to provide even more value to their existing and future clients. BookRunner® fits nicely into SAS' risk strategy and portfolio of applications and products, providing additional depth of function to the market. BookRunner® becomes a source system for SAS' analytical products and allows customers to gradually evolve their risk strategies with its scaleable functionality.
With the acquisition of RiskAdvisory, SAS continues to enhance its leadership in the risk market. There has been significant interest already in the additional depth that RiskAdvisory can provide, keeping both Jim, Holly and their teams very busy. We look forward to a successful future.
