RiskAdvisory Summit Draws Record Numbers

The 3rd Annual RiskAdvisory Utility Risk Management Summit was held November 9 and 10 at the InterContinental Hotel in Chicago. The Summit brings together high profile energy risk management experts and attracts delegates from across North America. This year, in response to delegate feedback from 2004, the event was expanded to two full days. As hosts, RiskAdvisory (a Division of SAS) attracted corporate sponsorships from SAS, NBC Global Risk Management, and Energy Central. The event drew a record number of executives from utilities, regulators, marketers, and consumer representatives who engaged in candid discussions around natural gas and electric utility hedging programs across North America. Final numbers showed a 50% increase in attendees over 2004 with over 50 organizations represented including more than 30 natural gas and electric utilities from a broad range of jurisdictions across North America. Feedback from delegates via evaluation forms was very positive with 25 scoring the event as “Excellent”, 17 “Good”, and no average or poor reviews.
