SAS Global Forum 2009 Set for Mar 22 – 25, 2009 / National Harbor, Maryland
Plans are already underway for the 2009 “SAS Global Forum”. Designed to promote educational, training, networking, and professional developments for SAS Users, the annual conference brings together over 3,500 professionals from around the globe. This year’s event in San Antonio mid-March was very successful with attendees taking part in seminars, workshops, presentations and training sessions led by SAS subject matter experts and other users ... their peers! Conspicuous by its absence (and pointed out to the executive by many of our oil and gas and utility customers in attendance) was the lack of a track dedicated to our energy industry users.
“The SAS user base in the oil and gas and utility industries is steadily growing and the users are telling us its time for their own track,” said Greg Nelson, Chair of the Energy & Utility Track for the 2009 show. “The success of the track will be very dependent on those users stepping up and getting involved. We strongly encourage all SAS users to watch for and respond to the Call for Papers and plan to attend. Get the dates on hold in your calendars.”
