Spring is in the Air

By Reggie Dickson, RiskAdvisory

With spring upon us, our attention almost certainly turns to renewal and growth. That certainly is the case at RiskAdvisory where the crew has successfully completed the environment testing and release of BookRunner’s latest version, 11.2.5. With v11.2.5 almost in full production, RiskAdvisory has positioned itself to focus some resources on building BookRunner Version 12. In order to maintain our outstanding support, the Risk Solutions group has added a few new faces to the team and will continue to grow by adding more developers and analysts.

I am pleased to have joined RiskAdvisory during this very exciting time, coming on board as a Senior Risk Business Analyst.  I have over 18 years experience in the Oil and Gas industry, previously employed as Vice President, Nymex Trading at TransCanada Gas Services, and most recently, as Assistant Treasurer at Integrys Energy. I am a graduate of the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics degree.  My role as a Senior Risk Business Analyst with RiskAdvisory, while a departure from my previous commodities and foreign exchange trading background, offers a tremendous opportunity to learn and grow within the Energy Risk community.  One of my initial goals will be to meet as many folks in the upcoming weeks as possible as I reach out to our varied client base.

The RiskAdvisory team has begun the exciting and challenging task of creating BookRunner Version 12.  This version will usher in a new era for BookRunner by engaging the user in a new and more-enhanced application experience. It is RiskAdvisory’s goal to present to the user group a Version that maintains popular and effective features in an Energy Risk Management system, while including advanced analytics, robust reporting and more intuitive interfacing. Version 12 will be the result of combining RiskAdvisory’s energy risk expertise with SAS’ software depth, creating a product that meets the on-going challenges that our clients face.  Stay tuned for more communications on this coming out in the near future.
